Game Description
Planetside 2 is a first-person shooter MMO, where the maps meet hundreds of players participating in one giant conflict. The production was created by the studio included in the Sony Online Entertainment, a division of Sony Computer Entertainment titles dealing with online. The game is a development of the idea in the first Planetside, which came out in 2003 on PC.
Planetside 2 is a futuristic shooter that takes place on the planet Auraxis, which hit part of humanity, sent to investigate the anomaly space. The colonists were unable to agree on basic issues, so it split into three factions: Lawful Terran Republic, New Conglomerate anarchist and Vanua Sovereignty, a group believing that the path to human development is the use of ancient technology of unknown origin. There is a huge conflict - for territory, power and resources.
Planetside second edition follows the path defined by the prototype. The core gameplay is a fight for territory on huge maps, which can accommodate up to a few thousand players. Each of them consists of dozens of bases, outposts and locations. Sizes location makes getting around them had to be simplified - participants use the teleporters, vehicles, and the system automatically move to the places where the action takes place.
